Lizzy and Amy are both completely different gernres and voices. Evanescence is my favorite band mainly because Amy puts emotion in her voice. Whoever said she sounds exactly like all the other’s that would be a false opninion. everyone has different voices;; and Lizzy’s has emotions too. Both are really good. you can’t compare the two;; except I feel Amy’s song’s deliver more passive and intregate meaning. While;; lizzy’s is agressive; and sexy.

evanescence is a completely different genre. amy lee has a good voice but she doesn’t have the OOMPH to back up her voice like lzzy does.

yeah amy lee may have a better voice, but halestorm’s music is a lot better. that and Lzzy’s voice is unique; there hasn’t been a singer that has that female version of metallica vocals like she has shown. they’re either horribly cliche without any singing talent, or they’re like amy lee.

I’ve been saying that for a while, and I WHOLEHEARTEDLY agree. she’s the first female singer that has shown range, skill, and originality. and the music is bad ass. all others have been cliche so far, or too much like nightwish/amy lee.

Evanescence is okay. I like the background singers and guitarist, but she sounds exactly like almost every other rock/metal singer I’ve experienced.
Not like Halestorm’s singer: she’s got that pervasive tone that I love.
Haven’t listened to Flyleaf, I’ll check it out.

yeah to complain about recognition just seems like you as a band member don’t get any props..in your little “garage band” so don’t group all bands together as one because, alot of people know the “background musicians” names before they even care about who the lead singer is.
